On 5 June 2019 one of the main IP-events in Ukraine took place – IPF Intellectual Property Forum that was organized by the Publishing House “Yuridicheskaya Praktika.” Every year, the IPF event brings together IP-experts from all over Ukraine in order to discuss the problematic issues currently existing in this sphere and to find joint solutions to them, to exchange experience and best practices, and simply for a friendly meeting of colleagues.

Among the invited participants of panel discussions and speakers of the event, except IP-lawyers, were also the representatives of the state authorities, including customs bodies and the patent office, judges, forensic examiners, as well as the representatives of business community. The attendees discussed the needs and problematic issues that the rightsholders and business-stakeholders face in IP sphere, enforcement practice in courts and at Customs, perspectives of reformation of the Ukrainian IP system and establishment of specialized IP court, state of technology in Ukraine and its IP-support. Moreover, there were a lot of interesting presentations regarding copyright and related rights, patenting, trademarks and geographical indications within the sections there were running in parallel.

Viktoriia Ostapchuk and Anna Kravchuk also traditionally took part in the Forum and with great pleasure met and talked with the colleagues. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Publishing House “Yuridicheskaya Praktika” for excellent arrangements made for the Forum and to all its attendees for the perfect atmosphere and the ocean of useful information provided.
