After a long break, the Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Property (Ukrpatent) held a two-day conference on November 14-15 “Actual issues of acquiring rights to industrial property, their protection and commercialization.” The conference was attended by inventors, representatives of IP holders, scientists, entrepreneurs, business representatives and specialists in the field of intellectual property.

The managing partner of Synergy, Viktoriia Ostapchuk, who spent two days at the event, noted that the program was very saturated. About two dozen reports were presented at the conference. A lot of different IP issues were discussed: the development of the IP sphere and the activities of Ukrpatent, features of filing and processing electronic applications, trends in the examination of applications for intellectual property objects, the nuances of state fees payment for registration actions, problems of processing cases regarding the protection of intellectual property and others. The conference also provided an excellent opportunity for IP professionals to converse and share news of their practice.
