On December 9, 2016 Viktoriia Ostapchuk, managing partner of «Synergy IP Law Agency”, co-moderated the “Legal and tax nuances disposition of intellectual property rights” seminar, which was organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association, in Odessa.
Viktoriia Ostapchuk, as deputy head of the UBA Committee on Intellectual Property, shared her knowledge and practical experience in point of of intellectual property rights, in particular through the conclusion of contracts.
Viktoriia in her speech showcased the key aspects of taxation features in the sphere of intellectual property agreements. The speaker noted that the Tax Code of Ukraine currently contains an exhaustive list of intellectual property rights, the use of which is paid royalties, and that this is the main point which lawyers should take into account working with taxation of IP transactions.
In UBA discussion seminar were involved experts from the field of intellectual property, corporate lawyers and business executives.
Viktoriia Ostapchuk noted that Odessa lawyers and business representatives pleased with their involvement in the problematic aspects of intellectual property. Viktoriia expressed hope that the representatives of the UBA will continue to hold such events of the Association in Odessa.
